Ithaca State Park

These photos were taken at the waterfalls in Ithaca State Park. Its located right up the road from Cornell University in the southern part or the Finger Lakes region or New York. These falls are not like most in state parks. These can be seen from the road clear as day.

Another interesting fact about these falls, at the base of the main one thats visible from the road, a long time ago stood the original gun manufacturing plant for Ithaca Firearms. A company that operated in New York for over a century before being sold and moving out of state. They used the hydropower from falls to help power the machinery. The building has since burned down and fully been demolished. But due to the lead involved in manufacturing the guns and the ammunition for them that was made in that factory, the soil is contaminated with lead and you need to be careful when in the area.
